That is the issue I think we have, valid reason for her to go back, she has a daughter there but people say thats not an good reason to return, in fact some say it may go against us?

    Any advice?

Your right it may go against you as historically it is seen as many Filipino will work abroad to provide a better life for those back home.
Does she work or own property?

she is currently working, but she would need to leave her job to visit me and get another job when she goes back, I am going to apply for a 10 week visa. She dont own her own home but her father ownes an expensive house and has a very good job as a ship capain, (he earns more money then me lol) I was thinking that she should mention this in the application?

    ok
    her leaving her job====bad idea
applying for 11 weeks--very bad idea.
no real reason to return..even worse idea.

now--if she could prove she has enough money of her own--in a bank--to support herself for the length of her holiday visit...flight--hotel--daily expenses...for a 2 maybe 3 week holiday

a good solid reason to return---like a letter from her employer giving her holiday leave and a definite return to work date

the reason for the visit----to visit old friends and family--visit famous tourist attractions.

    oh--and no mention of you.

I just applied for my wife's mother on a visit visa and was successful. She has no money, no bank account, no property, and lives with her son and grandchildren. It can be done, don't lose hope. I read that 90% of Filipino visitor visas are accepted, which surprised me. Just be thorough in your application, and it's only about £90 for a 6 month visa, so it's definatly worth going ahead with.
    Good Luck

You will need to include your gf financial details , ie bank statements showing sufficient funds for her trip ( which will need to be a lot if you apply for 10 weeks stay ) , plus pay slips if possible . Certificate of employment , plus letter granting leave of absence .

Birth certificate and details of daughter , plus letter from who is caring for her in her mothers absence , proof of relationship such as photos together and copies of chat history .

Your best bet is to visit her in Philippines I think , to be honest . If your work is keeping you that busy , you need to decide if you can spend enough time with your gf .
What will she do all day if you are at work ?
Somehow you will need to find time to spend with her , whether it's there or here .

This way she dont have to give up her job and can instead request a leave of absence

I have recently done the same for my Fiance for her tourist visa.

    I provided:

    Work contract
    Tenancy contract
    Invitation letter
Work invoices for 6 weeks (all I had as was a new job since moving back to the UK)
Hotel booking for a trip during our stay

I also transferred 2K into my fiances bank account so that she had a suitable balance

    She provided:

Work letter confirming she was taking leave and would be returning
    Work salary letter
    Accommodation letter
UAE residents visa (no good for you I know)
    3 months bank statements

Between us we also sent over 6 or so photos of the two of us from various times since we have been together.

Unlike others peoples advise, we were open about us being engaged, looking at what others have said maybe thats not the best thing, but we did it anyway (we werent on here then).

We were successful and she will be here in one months time for two weeks.

Good luck, feel free to PM if you want to know more

you did the right thing saying youre engaged and she will be with you--after all--i expect you will be applying for a settlement visa later. but your fiancee has good solid reasons to return to her work-----and why would any fiancee overstay and jeopordise a settlement visa.

in fact--an applicant might want to cover this aspect--or the ECO may well say she is applying for the wrong visa.

    Hi Asgloki.

I just applied for a Visitor Visa and was successful it was sponsored by my bf now fiancè.

I submited COE or Certificate of Employment. I didn't submit any proof of Leave of absences, why? Because they didn't allow me to have a holiday for three weeks. Lol

In my cover letter I informed the ECO that I'll just stay in UK for 3 weeks.

I was approved even without the LOA form. i just submitted a complete application form and tons of documents about work. We do have a thread here wherein I posted all the docs me and my bf submitted.

Also don't forget to reserve an airline booking (back and forth ticket). I did reserve one from a travel agency for 1500ph, reservation is better than buying the ticket itself.
