ok--"unacceptable " age differences has been well and truly hammered.
    but--more importantly--
    what about
"unacceptable" height differences. look how many UK guys date --or marry --women--especially Pinays--who are shorter than themselves. is this acceptable ?

Now this is important. Anything where the height difference is larger than 12 inches just means you weren't able to get a girl anywhere near your own kind which is just sad. Imagine taking that poor girl away from people her own height and making her live with you so that her family maybe better off. To be fair at 6'3" I'd struggle to find an english girl my height so I'm just some loser who had to find a girl 12 inches shorter because I couldn't find a +6 footer in the UK

That's the most sensible post I've read on this thread :), most Asians are vertically challenged, I'm working with five tiddly winks and an Indian at the moment and I'm like a giant compared with them, best thing, I get to ride in the front of the minibus because I'm the biggest :)

we all suffer under the same flag.. when someone mentions filipino wife, it has the same stereotypes.. you folks are exactly the same.. it's sad, you want to attack me for a perceived slight.. why? we all know the fil situation, it's not like it's a mystery.. why are people seeing it as a mark on their nature? This is what you chose, so what is the problem? I'll be banned anyways, but I ask you this, did you choose a girl on her looks or on her personality?

not entirely sure what this post was supposed to mean.. your missus is slightly older than you.. umm kinda like my situation, if you'd bothered to have read.. I know.. prob boring.. I talked about the fil because that's the reason we are here no? If I talked about some guys in sunderland.. might seem a bit odd.. nevermind..

My original idea of coming here was to find new folks and have fun, that really hasn't happened.. another dead end..

I was completely spellbound when I met mine and I was taken very much by surprise...It was just pure luck that our personalities gelled a bit later on..
Your question is very generic and applies to any romantic based relationship..Surely,that wasn't the question on your mind that you thought would get yourself banned??

    1. You won't be banned.

    2. What do you think? After five minutes' conversation, I stayed for the personality; particularly the sparkling wit. After five years, I know it's the character, particularly the steady, calm, cheerful loyalty to our joint project in life.

I read all of your posts, I mentioned my wife's age relative to me because as I said in the post if you'd read it properly I find your comments offence even though my wife and I are of similar age. The main issue here as I said before but you obviously didn't read or take in is that you try to apologies and in the same paragraph you slag off those that you just apologised to. I thought I explained this fairly clearly.

wow Andrew why are you posting at 4 am? Would have thought a gentleman away at 4am would be able to put his time to more errrrr productive amusements. Ho ho . As for this debate, there's never going to a meeting of minds is there. I think it's done to death.

I was attracted to my wife, who is five years younger than I am and whom I met by chance, because of her personality. Also as a matter of fact entering a relationship was the last thing on my mind at the time. I don't feel that it's wise to generalise.

I met my wife not exactly by chance in a way.

I was stopping at the Hyatt Regency in Dubai and I was perusing the hotel directory as you do and saw they had a Karaoke bar, I knew that it would be full of Filipinos and that I would enjoy myself without doubt as I was often entertained in such bars whist working in the Philippines, the rest is history as they say.

Generalisations are a particular bugbear of mine. Everyone does it.

I don't need to justify my relationship with my wife to anyone... so I won't. :p

    Meanwhile... talking about size:

I never ever generalize..Generalizations are worse than cliches...
    I only tell you what I know..Or what I think I know...Same difference.
