I used to work in Singapore and was amazed how many Filipinas who met in the shopping centres and food courts on Sundays. It was their day off and they made the most of it.
Been to a number in USA and all have had decent amount of customers. Also feels like more than just filipinos using them. Think we have been to 4 so far and sure will be more as wife is up for a visit if near. Formula seems to work as they expand overseas
Went past one in anaheim a few weeks ago, I think it's mainly pinays and their husbands. Been next to one in mississauga, an old western guy went in wearing a hideous philippine flag jacket with PHILIPPINES embroidered on it with his wife (I blushed for him).
From time, to time, my wife and some of her friends travel to Liverpool on a shopping mission, and invariably stop at the local Jolly Bee for lunch. Once. I travelled with them, but soon got tired of it and went my own way. Summoned for lunch, I has a quick look, then I opted for the chippy a few doors down the road. The confusion, the overbearing noise, the smell and the massed hordes of people put me off. Besides, for me, doesn't even match a bad KFC...
