She can have as many as she likes as long as I'm not paying for them :) what is it with girls and shoes? I've never had more than three pairs myself, having said that I'm not the trendiest chap walking down the street either :D

    Hi Everyone,

    Hope you're all keeping well.

Thought I'd let you know that I got an email today saying "your decision has been despatched"
It has been a total of 29wd I didnt receive any updates or phone calls from UKBA whatsoever. I do not know what this means but I reckon I didn't get the visa as they didn't even call anybody to verify about paperworks submitted.

Anyway, I suppose I will know for sure after 3 working days when I get my passport back.

    Really gutted now :(

Got a number of people here who received the same vague e-mail but most of them have positive results. Don't worry. It's going to be alright. My prayers are with you! ;)

    Keep us posted!

    Hi Lisa!
Don't feel down,. Perhaps it's a positive result,. Don't give up yet. Btw, when did you lodge your application?
I've lodge mine last November 07 (40 days now) I've tried to track it 3 times. First one it says is on progress, second one they said they will escalate the delay (which was very weird, cause I was just asking for the status and lastly just this Tuesday, they said they can't find any application under my name :( ]
I have filed a complaint already but haven't heard from them. Sigh!
I won't be receiving any email notification since I have put the solicitors email address cause it was them who actually done the application (just sent the stuff so I could personally lodge it).
Anyway, keep up posted and hoping that it's a good news for you.

    Stay positive Lisa.
Do they normally send an email or text once they receive the documents? Or they only contact the applicant once the decision has been made?

Once you get the e-mail, I was advised to go to VFS after 3-4 working days. At first I thought one will make another appointment but I just went there and got my visa along with the original documents.

No, unfortunately. But I remember the VFS agent mentioned about waiting within 1-3 months, keep phone lines open and check e-mails regularly. Timmers also advises to check your junk/spam folder.

Jojit had her visa refused a little while back and is appealing the decision I believe.

    And good luck to her.
