Good news..... Hopefully. https://news-yahoo-com.cdn.ampproje...pines-launch-pilot-plan-resume-071708456.html
There's a couple of family members been revising for almost a year and a half sometimes with crappy Internet connection, they got a bit peeved so have their paperwork in currently to study in ontario, timeline for flying next April, may be able to squeeze the board exam in before then hopefully.
Still feeling rough, went to the main hospital this morning for a covid-19 test. Went to triage to give some information, said I have to go to the respiratory dept to see a certain doctor but the doctor was doing home calls and would be back later. after waiting out side for 2 hours I went home. I thought you could take a test without having to see a doctor! Only in the Philippines.
Best wishes for a speedy, positive outcome, Jim. We are rooting for you and we hope your symptoms are mild
Been told to isolate in the house, that's what I'v been doing for 2 years. It's this dry cough and shortness of breath, and dry mouth in the morning. I will be okay had 2x shots of sinovac. Wife must be asymptomatic. She has been told to keep in the house too.
Good to know Jim, I felt sick in my stomach reading your news earlier. Keep an eye on yourself, take care Jim.
Just had a look at flights to the Phils. KLM cheapest deal for Christmas from say the 10th through to mid January more than £2000 out and over £1000 for the return on the dates I want Three grand for an economy flight There are some airlines still flying at better rates but even Emirates is two grand for a return on the dates I would want. Looks like the Taiwan route is gone KLM are flying to MNL via Bangkok now.
£2,000 for a return ticket at Xmas. That must double what it used to be. I remember getting a return ticket for £400 back in early 2008
Late Jan through to March Emirates has flights at £1284 a bit better but still not great. My last return flight at the closing of 2019 cost about £600.
The airlines will have to be reasonably priced to get more bums on seats. Maybe lots of planes are still mothballed.
