Yes, you are probably right in that maybe both are not really upset by being apart from each other for very long periods. It is a sort of trade-off, IMO ; Jimmy gets to see her once in a blue moon and this suits him as he is more concerned with looking after his mother and Jimmy's wife is supported financially until they meet again. It wouldn't suit every couple but they appear happy with the way things are. They both have children with other partners also so they will have obligations in other areas.
I think your analysis has drawn out from my sub conscious the exact scenario and it is what it is - well done for that and thank you.
We all do what we have to do, Jimmy. Of course things can change and maybe one day you will be with your wife and living in the Philippines
True - it was worse before but she copes well - her ex abandoned them all - I sort of turned up like a divine intervention - she is a bit scatty but has some great traits - she suits my style to be honest - I’ve helped her daughter out especially - but I enjoy that part - pity they all have to become teenagers ..I love kids up to about 12
/? so--looking to your future...if you do decide to bring your wife over to settle in the UK...what about her kids ? if you do include them--it will make your sponsorship financial requirement even higher.
I reckon I’ll do the reverse and go there - or work out a rota of several months there each year etc. Take it day by day but the way things are going in the UK - they r better off there.
I have spent a lot of time in Canada over the last 6 or 7 years, last year I spent July and November there. Just missed out on a house 2 weeks ago as minto homes only released a small number of new builds, they drew numbers for those wanting to buy and my number wasn't picked, beautiful city, my kid wants to practice there when he graduates. How long has your son been there?
It's super cold at times, I have been there when it was - 41 with windchill, massive amount of Filipinos there.
Well you know how they tick ... We can’t generalise but I think they are a great nation of survivors and adapt very well whilst maintaining a positive outlook despite circumstances ... pragmatic was the word I was looking for
