Date documentation was received by UKVI: 7th November, 2017. Email confirmation received: 8th November, 2017. Projected timeline given: 12 weeks Decision made email: Email from VFS stating visa has been processed: Still waiting. Date your visa was received: Still waiting. Processing time from Biometrics date: 31st January: Received an email from the UK Decision Making Centre saying they are unable to conclude application as additional information required. All the necessary documents were sent with the original application but due to an error by the commercial partner in scanning documents we had to scan and email the required documents. 9th March: Received the following email after paying a fee for their email service to enquire what is happening with the application... "Dear Grace P With regards to your enquiry about the status of your application (GWF046043519), I can confirm that your application is being considered and is currently awaiting a decision. Regards, Mohammed UK Visas and Immigration" I didn't know whether to laugh or cry when I got to the end of that reply! Total despair would be an understatement! We just want an answer either way so we can carry on with our lives without all this stress.
This whole visa thing indeed was nerved wrecking, stressful, and energy consuming for every applicants who had been waiting for so long without any assurance of positive outcome. Nevertheless we still need to try for us to be able to spend wonderful times with our loveones. Hope and pray we will surpassed this sooner, Best of luck for all of us...
Very much in agreement with you bigmac. We have become totally disillusioned and now wish we had saved our money towards settling in the Philippines. Am I right in saying we are only entitled to a refund within 3 months of making the application?
