I traveled for 25 hours from Manila- Dubai - UK. It was really a long journey. Everything went smooth. I only spent about less than a minute at NAIA 3's Immigration. Questions asked: Where would you stay in U.K? When is your birthday? Emirates flight EK333 was few minutes delayed from Manila to Dubai with 8 hours and 20 minutes layover. Upon arrival at Newcastle Airport, I went straight to the Non-EU queue and filled in the form. Immigration officers in Newcastle are polite and not strict. I only spent less than a minute. Questions asked: What's your husband's name? Did he travel with you? When did you get married? My husband only waited 20 minutes before my arrival. LOL. It's summer here but it seems winter for me. There is sunshine but the wind is blowing like a wind coming from the fridge. I'm freezing cold. My first meal is bangers and mash...
Welcome to the UK. You won't get tired of eating boiled potatoes, nice with fish and vegetables, oh and black pepper on top
The first winter my wife arrived, there were a few days of -15 deg C. She didn't enjoy it...........and neither did anyone else Get a really good duvet and a couple of soft fabric-covered hot water bottles.
Bangers and mash, you've not been in the UK five minutes and you're being spoiled to death Enjoy the UK and good luck with learning the Geordie language
My wife is happy today as it is colder again. She had the hump last week because it was too hot and was.moaning about it. 'I never complain when it's cold,' she said. Which is true. I'm sure she was an eskimo in a former life.
