not if you select "settlement -marriage " as the visa option. for other options the online app will tell you if you have to pay the IHS with the application.
You will pay the health charge when you apply for the first FLR after marriage which will set you back £650 for the postal FLR application (just over a £1000 for premium same day service) + £500 for health charge. Visa will last for 2.5 years then you apply for a second FLR and get a further 2.5 years (same cost as first FLR), after that you apply for a ILR (very expensive) then after that British Citizenship (very expensive) You are about to embark on an expensive five year settlement route, enjoy
have the new charges come into force yet ? i think the FLR is going up to £810--if not already done so
Wont cost you that much but you'll have plenty of money left for accommodation and a good drink I've stopped in Croydon a couple of times, plenty of hotels and okay for a stroll around town touring the bars.
Without a doubt, remember, once you have the first FLR under your belt your chap can get a BRP (biometric resident permit) and a NI number entitling him to work, then he can start to pay his visa fees off
hi there another question.... my boyfriend in the Philippines has bad connection I have noticed on the online form after you have registered it says you can apply for someone else....could I apply from here of course he can log in and fill in all the family stuff only he will know ????
yes--just tell him the access email and password. its what we did--over a period of several days--and several new starts--till we got it right.
ok thanks I can pay for it here etc and print the form off and also book the appointment to drop off the docs ? i plan to be in the Philippines for the appointment...do you have any idea what time scale from online form filling to getting the appoiuntemnt
you book an appointment to take all the docs to VFS when you pay the visa fee as soon as you submit online. just ensure there is plenty of time for you to get there lol.
hahaha i thought that toodo you know if there is a time limt from online application to the day you hand over the docs
Reichelle went last Monday to hand in the paperwork and today received her email confirming a decision has been made, should receive it all back tomorrow with the decision,
It will soon be over, fingers crossed, you've been a regular on the forum so I'm anticipating a positive result.
