Here’s a quick summary about the applicants & the sponsor:

-My fiancé is a British national temporarily residing in Japan for a work secondment with contract ending December 2016. Company is UK-based.
-Both of us has never been married before.
-Dependent is a 1-year-old infant who carries mother’s last name.

I joined the forum in March 2016 and started collecting the visa requirements in June.

    September 7, 2016 - Online Application
    September 15, 2016 - VFS Appointment
October 26, 2016 - Processed visa application was received by VFS
October 27, 2016- Received the passports via courier

For each, we paid USD 1,625.00 for the standard visa application plus PHP 2,625.00 for the premium longue.

To me, perseverance and preparation is the key! Many thanks to all the patient members of the forum who never got tired of answering my sometimes dumb questions especially John, Andrew & Tim.

Here’s the list of the documents I submitted for myself and my 1-year-old son.

    GETTING THE DOCUMENTS:

    Son’s Passport
We applied for his passport on July 19, 2016 and got it a week later.

    TB Test – August 5, 2016
Paid 3,200 PhP for me & 500 for the infant. Results were released the same day since there were no findings.

    IELTS – British Council Manila
    Speaking Test - August 11
    Listening, Reading & Writing - August 13
    Result: August 26

    Birth Certificate - August 6, 2016
    Released the same day.

    CENOMAR – August 10, 2016
    Released after 3 working days.

    PROOF OF RELATIONSHIP
-Photographs – I personally enjoyed this part because I reminisced those times we were together and how much effort he put in to see us every other month.

-Message & Call Logs – This was a hassle. It wasn’t easy to back track Facebook messages and since my phone was stolen in July while at the same month my Fiancé changed his phone unit, patiently reviewing Facebook messages was the only possible way for us.

-Email Logs – We used to exchange e-mails at work so I added those for proof. Also added his mum’s email messages to me.

-Flight Itinerary – Proof such as, but not limited to passport stamps, hotel & plane tickets receipt to show the travel and accommodations that we had.

-Proof of Engagement – Photos of the ring, ring’s receipt, photo when the engagement took place and supportive messages from family & friends when they learned about it.

-Wedding Venue Reservation – Wedding Venue Deposit Receipt and online bank screen clip to support it, Marriage Advance Booking & Confirmation.

    Hi, thanks!
We booked our flight on December 22nd. Congratulations too! Lucky, you got it for only 34 days!

With regards to the CFO seminar, in the thread http://british-filipino.com/index.php?threads/visa-travel-date.13481/ @john townsend mentioned that you won't get the sticker till the valid from date or later.

I believe I've there were forum members who got their sticker right on the day of their flight.
A day before your flight wouldn't be risky.

    so--thats a 6 month visa for a dependant child ?
    so--presumably will need 2 xFLR's in the following 30 months ?
