And why not. The man likes a pint!

He was the real winner the other night, while the other 7 were having a mass debate, he was down the pub. My kind of politician.

There appears to be a little mud slinging going on here, its not very British, the reason of course is because the election is too close to call and some politicians are beginning to get worried and now resorting to foul play. The PR brigade for all the political parties must be working night and day.

Do you doubt the report to be true?

If he's unconcerned then he should be. His back-benchers are and so are his advisers. Milliband is not a seasoned politician who can afford to dismiss such concerns lightly and that he does is also of concern.
The reason Cameron intends to wait until 2017 is to give his negotiators - led by Mrs May - time to brow-beat Tusk and the rest of the shower in Brussels. His wife describes him as a "glass half full kind of chap" and he truly thinks he will succeed in renegotiating the terms for Britain's continuing membership. But he won't succeed as everything he wants disadvantages the eastern European countries and they won't vote for that; it'd be like turkeys voting for Christmas! However Cameron's attitude towards Europe has hardened somewhat in recent months and he could very well be persuaded to bring forward the date of the referendum.

How do you know that? Are you that sure that Ukip's 20% showing in the opinion polls will not translate into seats? Suppose the election results is as follows:

    Tories + Ulster Unionists + Lib-Dems: 320
Labour + SNP + minor Labour supporting allies: 325
    Ukip: 15

Are you telling me that Cameron won't wish to do some kind of deal with Ukip so that he can remain as Prime Minister for a second term? Of course he will, John! :) One thing is for sure: Ukip will not support an administration that breaks-up the UK.

All the informed opinion suggests that the first past the post system will leave Farage with few seats and not 13% of the seats, like I said earlier.

So, after the election we have Markham on 15 UKIP seats, Aposhark on 5, Kuya on 3 and JohnAsh on 1.

Lets not waste anymore time emulating Punch and Judy. Lets see who is the closest in just a few weeks time.

Looks like Farage is struggling in Thanet South btw.

15 is not my prediction but a figure simply to illustrate a hypothetical outcome. As stated a few pages back, I'm saying that Ukip will have up to 10 seats.

So, after the election. We have Markham's prediction of 10 UKIP seats, Aposhark on 5, Kuya on 3 and JohnAsh on 1.

I can see that the Scottish Fishwoman is a very clever scheming manipulator. She will be the end of the Union and the UK if Millipede gives in to join forces. Now i realize that it could have been better alround if Scotland had voted yes. I think she must have orchestrated the fake leak to give Millipede a scare into committing to an alliance. Macchiavelli in skirts..

Paddy Power has odds of 4/6 on UKIP getting 4.5 seats or less and 11/10 on them getting 4.5 seats or more.

But 2/1 on a Labour Minority government.

I was a Labour boy from 1971 to 1981, when I joined the SDP, as I did not care one little bit for Viscount Stansgate* and the Trots**, and in 1988 I found myself in the Liberals!

    * The Right Honourable Anthony Wedgwood Benn, Esq., MP.

    ** The Militant Tendency

We dislike Filipino political dynasties. And I don't much care for this one, either:

Nigel Farrage is looking less likely to win a seat as an MP in the next Parliament according to the Independent!

He is so far stretched that he is asking for volunteers to assist him in South Thanet.
