And any advice on the whole accomodation thing as it'll be my first time there. For example are prices better if booked early or is it better to wait until closer to the date? Thanks.
Never been to the place. I'd just book through Agoda, a place you like the look of, a few days before your arrival. Shouldn't need to pay more than a couple of thousand a night outside of Manila.

AirBNB - my last 1 month visit I got a one bed condo with access to gym and pool for £500 - I couldn’t find any hotel to match and to be honest it was a lot better than being in a hotel room. quick search and attached the first couple of apartments - £500 ish for one month 1 Oct - 1 Nov
