UK State Pension Problems

    Has anyone has any issues with the UK State pension this month (January 2023)? Mine was due into my UK bank account 10 days ago and has not appeared yet. I made enquiries on line a week ago, with the International Pension web site - still awaiting a response.

    Where are you based??

    I am in North Wales and mine went into my bank account yesterday as regular as clockwork.

    Did you get a proof of living form to fill in? I got my pension this month and filled proof of living form last month.

    I was on the phone to them today, as I wanted to change the bank where my pension was paid into (received pension this month okay as normal).
    I at the same time asked them if they'd received back my proof of life form,..returned to them late last year, and they were able to confirm rcceipt of it...which was nice to know.

    I contact them from here in the Phils by using Skype (phone, not video) . Their 0800 number is still free, doing it that way, so hanging on the line listening to music for 30 mins, is not so much of a problem.

    Thanks for that info. I have not received the proof of life form, so that's most likely the reason they have not paid me. I live in Quezon City and the postal service sucks! Typically any letters sent by post take up to 2 months to be delivered and date stamped in QC sorting office. Amazing because I am hardly on a remote island. Previously I have managed to return just it in time by courier. I have asked the Pension Office to send a copy by email before, but they never do. And thanks for the phone tip, I will give them a call.

    That's going to be your best bet. I find them very helpful. :like:

    Just have all your 'details' ready for them (NI number, etc).

    Had nothing but headaches with Santander. Been with them for many years but the last few years they keep asking for info and if I didn't reply in a 6 weeks they said they would close my account down, takes 4 months to get the post from UK.
    That happened four times in 3 years. Not sure if my accounts are open are closed at the moment. Sick of keep phoning them up and explaining it takes months for me to receive post from the UK.

    I've had enough and closed mine @Jim - all this know your customer shyte is too much...

    I asked the guy - "Am I some sort of criminal... all these questions... what exactly are you accusing me of doing?"

    Obviously they know I'm not UK Resident - haven't used my ATM for over 10 years but because I can make it look like I am with the bits of paper they ask for they seem to want to check me up every 3 or 4 months to try and catch me out... arseholes :D

    I followed your advice and achieved success. Thank you. However, for some reason I couldn't get through on the number you suggested, using Viber. Eventually I bought some Globe IDD for P199 and got through to +44 (0) 191 218 7777. Yes, they were very helpful. She sent me another form by email, the same day and before I managed to get the form ready to send back by Fedex my money was in the bank.
