Hello Everyone! First of all just like to thank the people esp @Mattecube for helping me out with my citizenship. Now I just need to book my appointment and luckily the UKVCAS service point is near from where I am (I’m in Wales) .

Question, do I book the appointment until I have everything right especially the signatures of my 2 referees- One is from Bristol and the other is from Cotswolds. Would they accept scanned ones that have been signed or much better to post documents, let them sign and send it to me by post? I don’t know maybe they wanted originals instead of scanned . Also how long do I have to book my appointment again! I’m hoping it gets sorted out this week if I can!

    Thanks in advance!

hi, did you submit your application online? I submitted all my required documents (scanned) online before my biometric appointment. I would suggest to check and book appointment ahead cz sometimes the dates available are just limited. Hope that helps!

Ah ok Thankies! So just trying to choose the service point atm is it relevant if the services vary? The one near me which is Cardiff one only offers documents scanning. Does it matter or if it needs to have “interpretation” too with services ?

That are just added services I think. I didn’t use their added services as I scanned the documents by myself. If you have your own scanner then you should be all sorted.

yes I do! I’ll try to upload as much as I can. So you think going to the Cardiff one is ok then? What about the biometrics, is it done the same day? Forgot the last time

Once you’ve uploaded your scanned documents and. done the biometrics you wait for the decision, moving from ILR to BC takes you outside the visa process. The visa journey ends with ILR
Once you get your decision you will get instructions on your next steps with your decision letter
If I recall correctly you get a reference number on your approved application letter you then also get a link to the BC process the system allows you to enter your postcode to find the most suitable civic centre that carries out the BC ceremony you book attendance they tell you what to bring with you then you attend and enjoy the day

ah brilliant thank you for this! What I’m bit confused now is the choosing of the service point @Mattecube :(. The nearest one is Cardiff for me (which is included when I type in my postcode) but not entirely sure it includes everything like biometrics? What should I check before I book an appointment?

Would it be convenient and best if I choose a meet and greet plus appointment ? Eventhough the nearest one for me is Birmingham which is 2 hour train? I would if it is obv better than the standard appointment as I have someone to assist me through the whole appointment?
