With all these lockdowns it is getting very difficult for some people to actually get into the Philippines as a tourist. I have two friends in LA who want to go to the Philippines and have been told that no visas are is being issued.

    Hence this discussion

Be married to a Filipino who is currently in the Philippines and apply for a 9A visa at your nearest Philippine embassy with associated documents.

Have children currently living in the Philippines and apply for a 9A visa at your nearest Philippine embassy with associated documents, in the case of children you need original Birth Certificates as part of the application.

That's the main two methods that I know about.

The BB is also available, but for that you need to be travelling with your Filipino spouse. There is also the mandatory hotel quarantine in a designated hotel in Manila for 14 days.

Yeah that's why I explicitly said "who is currently in the Philippines", Balikbayan Privilege is available again for those who have their marriage certificate.

Interestingly I found this travel guidance on Philippine Airlines site today.

Arrival Guide for Fully Vaccinated Travelers, whether in the Philippines or abroad, and coming from “Green” countries (philippineairlines.com)

The UK and the USA are not on the Philippines Green list, so the full 14 day quarantine is required.

Can't blame them for being very strict.

He'll get in on an investor visa, pretty sure they will make exceptions for that even now, it's the SIRV.

He will also be able to get his foreign employees in on work visas as well, none of this is cheap but the money required can be seen and used as part of the investment in the Philippines.
