    Hi to everyone.
Me and the wife just got back from manchester doing our first flr spouse visa today which was
    successful.
I have to give ukvas credit they were very efficient and helpful . So we get there and was seen at
9.30 am and out by 10.30 am. We got a text from the home office at 13.30 pm to say application
was successful. As from today you do not have to submit anymore photos with your application
we was told . I have also scanned the original checklist we downloaded when we paid for the
priority service so I hope this will help anyone who has to do this in the future so you will know
what you need before applying. Just stick to what the checklist says in order as we did as they did
not ask for any additional paperwork. The only thing my wife added was a character reference
from her employers also I included our birth certificates as they was happy we included them
even if it does not state on the check list. And cover letters from both of us.

I have just compressed the files as they where to big can anyone tell me how to upload it here
    it is 3 seperate pages.

Hi are you using both your incomes to satisfy the financial requirements, also what are the monthly housing costs required for??

As we both work we supplied both incomes but I exceed the £18,600 financial requirements as for monthly housing costs I explained all my bills are direct debit as they can see with the bank statements provided

I think the monthly housing cost means your rent or mortgage payments

So in fact it wasn't necessary for your wife to provide her financial information as you exceeded the £18600 on your own, curious to know why you did that johnc?

Have a look at the forms I posted on here it asked about her employment details

So we both included our employment details as it gave the option to include them on the application

Hi johnc, yes I read the forms you kindly provided however I believe that if you can provide the financial requirements solely then you don't have to provide your wifes employment details and finances. In our case we won't be disclosing my wife's finances as its more hassle and could be confusing for the case worker. (congrats on the FLR though)

All good if you pass the financial requirements yourself it was no hassle for the caseworker and I think including the wife’s income makes the case stronger

Big congratulations John!! Doing something special to celebrate? :)

That’s a massive weight off your shoulders for 2 years and the second application felt much easier after having knowledge of the process and with it naturally being a stronger case :) Congrats!

Thanks big mac she wanted kfc so thats how we celebrated :):):)
The stronger the case the less anxiety it is worrying about if you submitted all the right stuff, at the end of the day all they want to see if you are still together and earning enough to support each other, she is very lucky to have a good employer who gave her an outstanding reference.
