Hi All, Just an FYI for anyone thinking of the NARIC route to assess English skills. NARIC have advised that In order for an overseas qualification to meet the English language requirements, the comparable level of the qualification must be British Bachelor degree standard or higher. I thought that a NARIC English language Assessment for a Spouse Visa only tests Basic Life Skills. But it appears that your qualification has to be equal to a UK Bachelor degree before NARIC will even provide an assessment for basic life skills!! Does anyone know how long it takes to get an IELTS test result back? I also called to verify this. The level of the qualification that you have submitted is lower than British Bachelor degree standard. Unfortunately, your qualification does therefore not meet the criteria for this service. If you have added multiple qualifications to your order, please remove this award. Alternatively you can upload a new qualification which may satisfy the level criteria (Bachelor / Masters / PhD level). After receiving a new award we will check its eligibility for the English Language Assessment service. Hi there, thanks for the info. I was considering NARIC. I really thought that even my Bachelor's degree is not comparable to a UK degree, at least it could be equivalent to a one year in UK university, which is at A1 level in CEFR. So did you take IELTS instead? Thank you.
Thanks for warning others of this, much appreciated. Especially as my wife is from Cebu also and she's really quite surpised this was declined, conisdering the Quality of San Carlos! Not sure how long it takes for results to take back sadly, are you in the UK already?
