I need help I still don't get it.. 6 items correspondence jointly or in both names.. is this mean I would need to provide for example: 6x water bill (2016), 6x electricity bill (2017), and 6x council tax bill (2018)??

I don't know but it would not be normal for a UK government agency to require multiple months of proof over multiple bills.

I think they mean 6 unique separate items of proof.

It’s bills spread over the period sine the last application (2.5 yrs). I haven’t read the requirements for a while but a few water bills spread as evenly as you can over the 2.5 years. (so maybe one 2 years ago, another one a year ago and one now), electricity bills spread quite evenly over the 2.5 years, etc etc. Just any bills spread over the period if that makes sense, basically whatever is to hand, make sure you have the required quantity (meeting the joint/single requirement) distributed over the period.

What they want is 6 items addressed in joint names over a period of 2 years an example would be
    Council Tax Dated 10.01.2018
    Council Tax Dated 10.01.2019
    Water Bill Dated 14.02.2018
    Electric Bill Dated 27.07.2017
    Electric Bill Dated 21.01.2018
    Gas Bill Dated 20.04.2017

@cheng it is a total of 6 items in joint names over the 2 years prior to this application (or from the date you started living together in the UK to application date) it is not 6 items of each.
It can be anything other than mobile phone bills (this rule may of been relaxed now) addressed to you both.

there is a list of suitable correspondence in the guidance notes. i think its not more than 2 items from the same sender.

It says this, on the paper form I used last year.

"The dates of the items of correspondence should be spread evenly over the whole period you are relying on. They should be from at least 3 different sources."

You can also provide individual items to you both, as long as they show the same address. You need to double the amount if doing it that way. Eg 5 in joint names and one each in individual names,

Personally I sent loads more. I had kept them all, so it seemed a shame to waste them!

Thats why I put 4 sources in my example.

Same here, we sent more than necessary. I thought if they’re putting us through this crap then the least they can do is read some of my additional crap.
