Well Asawa was messaging me and phoning whilst I was in a meeting an hour or so ago. Seems she is technically void of continuing the Visa route any further. She has now attained her ILR . Application was made mid September, we received notification of documents being received two or three days later and every month thereafter she received an automated email saying they were still processing and there may be a possibility of it taking longer than the initial 6 month processing period. Well here it is, a genuinely Happy New Year for her. Well done Asawa. Typically she has let digital world of FB known her news, with various hashtags like #goodbyevisafees, #indefiniteleavetoremain etc etc. I messaged her letting her know she had missed a few hashtags such as #leavehusbandna and #husbandcandoone Again, congrats Asawa
Ayy I’ll chuck a few of those down I think we will still go for citizenship. British citizenship if far too valuable to turn down I think. Cheers!
Well done on getting this out the way. We're into our final 6 months before having to do the same. We will probably do British Citizenship too at some point. A Filipino passport won't get you to many places without a visa. Did you just do a normal postal application? And were the documents the same as before apart from the Life in the UK test? I am slightly tempted by the Document Checking Service, but we will probably just go with postal in the end. We should be able to get the documents correct by now!
Thanks. Yep with the price hike last year I decided to do just postal. With our last FLR we missed having to pay for NHS charge by two days, so the NHS offset sorta evened out by doing an in-person FLR. I didnt bother with the Document Checking Service, as you say we should be pretty used to the requirements by now. Yep pretty much the same plus the LitUK.
