My Filipina wife came to the UK on a Settlement VISA and to leave the Philippines initially to come to the UK via Manila Airport she had a vignette which was valid for 30days which has now run out. Now we both want to go back for a holiday but are worried when it comes to leaving the Philippines through Manila Airport that Customs and Immigration do not allow her to leave. Can anyone confirm if they were in the same situation and how they overcame the issue as Customs and Immigration at Manila Airport worry me.

    Have you collected her BRP?

Hello Mahard yes we did collect the BRP. Is that the authoritive document/ID to use on exit at Manila Airport?

If you have a BRP then that's all you need.

We've just been over to The Philippines. My wife is on FLR. Coming back in, at Heathrow, they checked her fingerprints against what is stored on the BRP! We never even had a vignette, as it was introduced after she initially came here.

There were no issues at all at Manila. Wow! What an improvement that airport is since I was last there, btw!

the BRP lets her into the UK--but does it let her leave the philippines ? i thought that was what the CFO sticker was for ?

It is. No CFO, no leaving PI.

She must of had the CFO sticker to leave for the UK in the first instance!

    Passport and BRP is fine.

CFO was not needed or asked for. We took her old passport just in case but it stayed in the bag.

The BRP was checked at the airline check in desk in Manila.

No. The original question was about someone already here on a spouse visa, who already has a BRP.
