    Hi All

I am so glad to have found this forum.

I am British and I met my beautiful Philippine wife here in the UK through a church we had dealings with. Basically we fell in love and got married. We decided to make a new home in her home town in the Philippines. Seven and a half years later due to visa problems I find myself back in the UK and my wife still in there Philippines. We are trying desperately to get her to join me here in the UK but since we have been away the immigration rules have changed so much. We are hoping to get her original spouse visa extended but it may not be that easy. Its hard to be here on my own again, trying to start again and living off other peoples kindness. I left behind nothing and have come back to nothing, so am trying to start again. DSS wont help for 3 months so Im getting by on a part time job.

Anyway enough moaning on my behalf I am hoping you can all help me with getting the food I have grown to love and maybe some visa and job advice for my wife.

Keep an eye on the forums as I will be asking a lot of questions.

    Thanks

Welcome to the forum Gary, what were the problems you had with your visa in the Philippines that required you to leave the country? Just being nosy that's all :)

I hope you can get yourself sorted out and back into the swing of British life, you'll need to find yourself a job paying over £18,600 then you can start to think about the visa process and bring your loved one to the UK.

Good luck with your quest, just post if you need any help with the application and someone will point you in the right direction.

If you weren't deported but left after receiving an advisory from the Bureau of Immigration, then there's no reason why you should not be able to return to the country. You could always apply for a second Passport and use that to travel on.
