Hi all, It's been a very long time since I posted here. With the help of some of you lovely people, I successfully brought my Filipina wife to the UK in 2018. Unfortunately, she tragically passed away in November 2021. We were planning to move to the Philippines this year or next. But sadly, our plans did not come to fruition. I would still very much like to migrate to the Philippines, so I was looking for some guidance if possible. I understand that as my asawa and I were married for over 5 years, I could have applied for a Filipino Spouse Visa. My query is, am I still eligible to do so now that I am widowed? Any help or information is greatly appreciated. Maraming salamat.
Sorry, I don't know the answer and these things sound very superficial coming from internet strangers, but I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. One of the things that does make me feel uncomfortable sometimes is if anything happened to Mrs R (such as her ectopic pregnancy a few years back) as she would likely have to face time without her blood family present.
Can't help you on the migration to the PI question Nick, but I know how you feel, I can empathise with your lady, my sons mum passed away, she rests in Davao memorial, long time ago, my sons got a fiance and has his own life now, such a long time ago, but while it's a truism that time is a healer you also never forget, the memories always remain, stay strong.
Thank you @Druk1 and @PorkAdobo for your condolences. My heart goes out to you both too. I received a reply from the London Philippines Embassy, unfortunately I am unable to still apply for the spouse visa.
