I have a gf who is a Philippines citizen and we applied her for a tourist visa for her first trip here in the UK.
She recently received her passport containing a tourist visa entry to the UK and her flight will be on April.
We did a few researched about other problems that she could face when going through the immigration and we found that according to some of her friends who have travelled a few times outside the country and Philippine's Bureau of Immigration that she will still need a few documents such as Affidavit of support, letter from employer, etc.

I would like to ask and to confirm whether if this is actually the case? Can my GF still be denied to leave the Philipines even with a UK tourist visa approved by british immigration?

If your gf had your letter/ form of support, plus certificate of employment and leave of absence letter from her employer,to be granted a visa , then she should be good to go .

I’ve never heard of anyone being denied the right to travel , if they have a visa in their passport , maybe others can comment on this .

She may be asked a few simple questions at either end of the journey , by immigration, but that should be all . Remember she will need to pay the Philippine Travel tax at the airport and get a receipt.

It might be worth writing out a rough itinerary of where you will be visiting while she is here ( sight seeing) etc , plus a copy of utility bill , to confirm where she will be staying with you . That might answer a few questions.
