Nice selections oss All of those are my list of favourites and are still fresh in my mind. All hold special moments in my teenage years
My sister was and is a big Stones fan, I was only 5 that year so I liked the Stones and the Beatles and all of this stuff, it was formative.
i remember back in the early 60's--my mates brother went to see a group perform at Birmingham town hall----he came away with a big photo--signed by all the players. but we had never heard of them---i dont think they amounted to anything. daft name--the Rolling Stones.
I was going to post Gene Pitney's 24 hours to Tulsa but oss beat me to it. One of those Iconic songs and definitely one of my 'Magic Songs' For me a 'Magic Song' has to have something very special at it's core. It's something intangible that personally interacts with memories, moments, experiences and profound impassioned emotions We all have songs that forever tug our heartstrings for one reason or another. Music has always been a major influence in my life so I have many. For that reason the songs I post are fervidly personal. Remembering those treasured pieces is priceless.
My tastes in music started with the Beatles when I was a kid in Liverpool but when I was 12 y.o. things changed with listening to Rock music. These were the first 3 singles I bought with my pocket money back then as a 12 year old: Headbangin' Fire Fireball Note: Song starts at 01:38 Sabre Dance
