Ancelotti says it's a "new experience" for him after his substitute Djibril Sidibe was delayed coming on because he had forgotten one of his socks.
He ain't going to like the "experience" today............ Thanks for the past glory, Carlo, but today is different.. At the moment we are sitting on 4-0 for Chelsea...... With 20 minutes to go.............. Sorry Mike............
You may remember that we battered you 3-1 at Goodison on 7th December? Funny how people forget defeats! Sorry Dom...... But, well done today. Chelsea were really at it.
Also, Everton fans are quite extraordinary: Carlo Ancelotti says the welcome he has received from Evertonians tops any he has received in his 25-year managerial career, declaring “other places were good but here is the best”. https://www.evertonfc.com/news/1637350/ancelotti-evertonians-welcome-is-best-ive-ever-had It would be easy to say that he is playing up to his new bosses, but Evertonians have known for a long time how we are.
Yes it is when it evens out over the two games. I am not worried too much as CA seems experienced enough to know where things need to be improved over the next few years, before our new stadium is ready.
I can see a few Everton players collecting their P45s during the summer transfeer window. Hopefully Carlo will be given the necessary funds to pick up some decent names. Saying that, I still think tha Everton can easily achieve an Europa Cup place. Man UTD and Totnum ( you know, the ones with the Nando's chicken on the shirts...) I don't really rate for that stage.
You're right about a mini-clear out, Dom. For me these must go: Niasse, Davies, Walcott, Sigurdsson, Schneiderlin & Martina. I doubt we will make it into the Europa league. Chelsea were excellent today and seemed to be back at their best.
