Hi All, Hope you are all well, as you may have seen on the other thread we finally got our visa (YAY). However my wife asked me a couple of questions as shes a little nervous. 1. Does she still need to pay travel tax at NAIA when leaving? How much and what method of payment 2. Does she need to go to anywhere in particular being though she has settlement visa or is it departure as normal. 3. When she arrives in UK, is there any process or just go to the gate for none UK/EU and show the documentation? Thankyou in advance guys
If I remember rightly there is a payment to make in leaving but can’t remember how much. Just go through departures as normal. On arrival here just go to the non Uk/eu gate but it’s worth having your details with her. Ie- your address/ phone number. Has she got her CFO sticker? She won’t get out of the phil without it.
She had her CFO seminar yesterday but gotta go back for the sticker cus it’s outside of the visa dates. I’ll make sure she has my details Thanks
At airport leaving there are 2 taxes to pay Approx 1600 pesos airport tax can pay by card and 2nd tax is I think 550 pesos terminal tax this payment is cash Make sure she has your mobile number If she is delayed at immigration and you become concerned there are free phones in the arrivals hall you can use to call immigration they used to be on the columns opposite wh smiths I have edited the figures
1. Travel tax is payable. I asked on way out of philippines with settlement visas and as did not have BRPs had to pay. 1620 peso flying economy and can definitely do cash and I think card - we normally paid cash as part of using peso before departure. Think you go to checkin, they then send you off to pay and then go back to checkin to get tickets. Can't remember if can pay before going to checkin. Believe the airport tax is now included in ticket price so don't have to pay separately. 2. From what I could tell is was normal departure through filipino emigration queue. 3. On arrival if traveling alone then it is non eu queue. Wife and stepchildren were traveling with me so we went through UK queue as a family so option if you are going out to come back with her.
Last time we departed (June2019) you pay the 1620 pesos and can get it before check in card or cash and you pay the terminal tax which id cash
Very strange........My wife and I have left via Manila and neither of us paid anything at all anywhere. I believe the travel tax is included in the ticket.
Edit: Did some research on this and aye, at least for Cebu: https://www.pna.gov.ph/articles/1079001 This is pleasant news!
