Excellent article. I used to watch Person of Interest, and if you'd seen it, you'd know that what happens in the series is not that far removed from reality. Its all about data. They all want data. Data makes huge amount of money for Facebook, and people are unwittingly providing data for nothing, totally unaware of the consequences. If that data gets in the wrong hands, who knows what damage it can do. There is no privacy left in this world. We are all small bits of data on a computer somewhere. The irony is that if your not on a database somewhere, your considered a risk. I get funny looks when I tell people I'm not on any social networking site, and I've even read somewhere (can't find it right now) that some employers tend to look unfavourably on prospective new employees who don't have any online presence. Ladar Levison should get a medal for standing up to the bullies. Good to see Lavabit is back in business.
