I did click that link but just got pop ups asking me to agree to this and that before being able to read the story. Declined.
The EU's GDPR law asks for every web site you go to to agree to its cookies policy hence the popup but the jist of it was this A major 6.4 magnitude tremor rocked the island of Mindanao at 19:37 local time. The earthquake came just 28 miles (46km) southwest of the city of Davao which has a population of more than 1.2 million. One person in Digos, located 14 miles from the epicentre, took to earthquake monitoring site CSEM EMSC to describe the tremor.
We live in Davao City. It was the biggest tremor that I have felt in the last 4 years. House was shaking pretty good, but no damage done and nobody harmed.
Hope anyone living there had a safe journey.. We have been through this **** in Baguio and Bohol so we know the feeling. This is what we get from wishing to live within the "ring of fire" I guess!
Hi... 2 quakes on ! Hope you're ok down there... my wife has family down there and they aren't answering their phones anymore - do you happen to know if the phone networks are ok or is it like patchy in places?
Spoke to my girlfriend yesterday as she has family there too and this one was a bit more destructive even though not as powerful as the first(due to the damage done in the first quake I guess) she got through on the mobile phone.
I have not experienced any issues with the mobile networks here. There are 2 condo buildings in Davao City that have been declared unsafe, after one of them had two floors collapse. The shakes and tremors are now a regular occurrence here, several every day. Our house shakes and the windows rattle but fortunately until now, no damage done. It is scary.
Very scary, my first was a 7.6 in August 2012... but that was a one off - seems it's happening down there, like you say, daily... hope things calm down soon.
6.9 quake this morning, friends house is badly damaged in polomolok, the power is out at lolas beach just outside Davao, hope everyone's families are safe.
I wonder why quiboloy didn't also stop today's quake https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/11/22...oy-stopping-mindanao-earthquake-i-believe-him
