No make up, snapped on an Ipad in the middle of cooking supper, today... Why can't I take pictures like this?
And here we have an "elfie" taken by the elephant in the picture recently at a safari park, with someones camera, that had been dropped out of their car window....
I'm pretty sure every Filipina I have on my list of Facebook friends takes a selfie every week (my wife included). Is this a Filipino thing, or a girl thing?
Actually, I don't know if that was Kay's first attempt, or the first that she has released for publication - it is the first that I have seen. She is a non-Facebook person. However her eldest sister and one sister in law seem to produce them at least weekly. She took the picture because, whilst we were chatting on Skype, she caught sight of my phone, which had a non-Kay-approved picture of her on it, so she snapped one she did like and sent it to me.
It's not just a vanity thing either.. My wife has a friend who had a terrible thing happen to her some years ago (I won't go into it) and on the anniversaries of the date this happened, she takes selfies of herself crying. And I look at the screen thinking, this can't be good or therapeutic...
My wife has rarely taken a selfie and doesnt particularly like her pic being taken. Or I should say she needs numerous pics taken, vet them and then allow maybe one to be kept, but not for publication. There are very few pictures of either of us online.
There are I suppose a couple of dozen photos of us together online, taken over the past three years or so, and they are there for the sole purpose of demonstrating to an ECO that our relationship is genuine.
Out of interest, how are you doing that? Are you providing links to them within your application? And why not.. Good idea.
Maybe Andrew intends to submit a flash memory stick with his paperwork. And why not Its 2014 after all.
That would make far too much sense! We are talking about civil servants and they tend to want things on bits of paper.
It's always good to submit screen grabs of online interactions. Heck, I even sent screen grabs of my interactions with my wife's siblings and her interactions with my siblings.
Sort of in agreement @jeniferleitch after a quick tour of some of the ladies I have on my friends list on Facebook. However, I think it is mainly a younger generational thing, my sisters and a lot of my older cousins don't take selfies, but women below 30 certainly do (this is just a generalisation, there are some exceptions)..
