"The world's largest crocodile in captivity, Lolong, has died. Mayor Edwin Elorde of Bulawan, a small town in the southern Philippines that had been home to the giant croc, made the announcement Sunday." http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-202_162-57568580/
I can remember when it first caught. Not that long ago as I recall. It was always going to be a matter of time before this croc died in captivity. I wonder if it will get eaten I had a plate of spicy sizzling crocodile at the Crocodile Park in Davao last November. Bit tough. No-one else even wanted to try a small piece.
Croc doesn't taste like chicken,I went to see Lolong when he was alive as I am fascinated by reptiles. Anyway, got sent this pic earlier, a huge crocodile in Mindanao, supposedly equal in size or larger than Lolong.
It tastes gamey almost, stringy and chewy? I have had Croc and gator a few times, never likened it to chicken.
