Hi all, Please can anyone tell me what the current requirements are for a Filipina as of 2023? I believe things have changed since I last went through the process. I know the IELTS test certificate and TB test certificate are a must. Thanks/maraming salamat
Depends on why they are coming to the UK - https://www.gov.uk/apply-to-come-to-the-uk If it's as a 'Partner', minimum basic requirements that the British Partner needs to prove are: Financial; Accommodation and both can supply evidence of - a 'genuine' relationship. The only other thing I can think of, off the top of my head, is the applicant will need to complete a CFO Seminar - online or in person - before leaving the Philippines... https://cfo.gov.ph/
Hi @UKDJ Thanks for your reply. We will be applying for the spouse visa for ILR. I know the requirements that are needed for myself, but not too sure of the current applicant requirements.
If it's the final stage ILR Visa, the main 'extra' requirement is that the Applicant needs to pass the Life in the UK (LitUK) test, before they can apply for ILR - https://www.tsoshop.co.uk/Society/Life-in-the-UK https://www.gov.uk/life-in-the-uk-test Make sure you only use the Official learning materials and booking site - when ready - as there are numerous 'fake' sites out there!
It's the initial visa for my asawa to enter the UK. Do you know if things suchs as NBI clearance, Cedular etc. are required?
Sorry, can't answer your specific queries (maybe someone else will) but everything you need to know to start the process can be found in the first link I Posted.
IELTS A1 Life skills (minimum requirement, valid for 2 years), if she's able to pass B1 for the entry visa then that can be used all the way to ILR even when its expired TB test (valid 6 months only) CFO seminar (at the moment only in person appointments are available) we found it quicker to get an appointment after the visa was received [this also isn't a requirement for UKVI but is for Filipino(a)s leaving the country on a settlement visa] Birth Certificate Marriage Certificate Passport (scan all pages, especially if she has visas from other trips)
Your initial visa is what's known as "Leave to enter" then the 2nd stage is FLR and ILR is the final stage before application for citizenship.
My fiancé's ielts certificate has been lost by the courier and we have applied for her visa. Can I ask is the ref number and TRF number enough proof of her passing the ielts test? Best regards Richard Gillen
