I bought some medicine today at the Mercury and it was nearly 40% cheaper than it normally is... I asked the girl if it was correct and she said yes. Later my wife told me that Duterte has abolished the taxes on certain medicines... I don't have a comparable receipt but the one for today marked it X - Tax Exempt. Anybody know if this is true - the other thing is I used the Senior Citizens queue ... so I'm not sure if I got a bit more off for that too?
