That’s not the actual house design. It’s just an illustration of the type of roof. I noticed with the sister in laws house and her extended families self build house that they are pretty robustly made. It is entirely possible to blend robustness with that style of roof. However, I have advised Mrs Ash and her sisters to go for something like this:
This has ground to a halt. There are actually two plots but 3 sisters. And neither plot is conveniently sited for any of them. Common sense prevailed. Tony had a sensible word with the MIL and the idea has been canned. Not sure what will happen to the land.
Short lived project, it was gathering momentum on Sunday, slides to an abrupt halt today? Philippines.
A bit of a crazy idea under the circumstances. The obvious solution of selling the plots isn’t likely to happen because the plots were a gift from the late grandmother. However that could change. In the meantime the plots remain plots only.
Could be a problem to sell, depends how many signatures on the lots, more signatures more difficult to sell.
At least one of the sisters doesn’t want to sell the plots. So for that reason they will remain undeveloped. There was talk of plonking a small cane type structure on them (I have forgotten what Mrs Ash called them) just to put something on them. Mrs Ash wants her two sisters to take one each but they are refusing.
They're called 'Nipper Huts" Wife wants one in the back yard. Cheap to build and no planning or building permits needed. Bamboo Nipper hut stock image. Image of palm, floor, wood ...
