If Even an old professionally grumpy so and so like me can read and follow those very simple rules, why can't some other people??? Why do we have to see places full of idiots not wearing a mask, partying and generally spreading the Virus? The police can only do so much, and most people see them as the enemy. Our local Hospital is swamped with the sick, and our area in Wrexham is the worst in Wales. Crazy attitude to life.
Years ago, When I ran a pub in Anglesey, I spent an inordinate amount of money on having a Sierra estate 2.2 diesel engine slapped into the body of a Granada Ghia. It was all honky dory until on a day out with the kids to Liverpool, I parked it by the Albert dock. After a fun filled day, on return I discovered that the said car was not there anymore.... The treck with 3 kids to go to Mold to return them to the mother and the Anglesey cannot be described as it still brings nightmares. 7 months later, From the garage of the same pub (Prince Llewelyn) My Citroen RD disappeared overnight... A couple of days later, the Police arrives and tells me that 3 young scousers on holiday, having run out of money, nicked to return home with and crashing it in LlanfairPG. Arrested, charged, slap on the wrist, and I am still waiting for the £137 compensation after slightly over 20 years.... So, please, with all due respect, do not preach to me about Liverpool and some of its inhabitants, I personally do not have ill founded and outdated view points. Only bitter experience. I dread even going to Liverpool by train, and I felt really bad when I had to go, last year, to the Italian Consulate to have my Passport renewed.
The key is "years ago"!!!!!!!!!!!!! Years ago I met a slapper in Wrexham, are all women in the Wrexham area still slappers? I am not preaching, but if I were I suggest you look up the safest cities in the UK and whilst Liverpool is not the best its not the worst.
Mrs Ash and I are noticing that in the work environment where people are not always distanced, there are a good percentage of idiots wearing their mask over their chin.
Loads of slappers in wreexham still. But since debenhams, primark, poundland and others closed for the lockdown cannot see many about, also due to the fact that Arriva Buses stopped all services after finding out that 28 drivers had covid.. I spoke of "some" of Liverpool inhabitants, not all of them. And I spoke of personal experience not hearsay. It is Certain that there are place in the UK and/or further afield that are much worse than the worst we may have seen. Personally I find going to Liverpool intimidating, More than Manchester or Birmingham. And I find London strangely friendlier, probably due to the extensive work travel in the past. I love going to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Stirling. I don't know why. It doesn't feel oppressing
