Did you visit the Park Guell? https://www.parkguell.cat/ So you did the tour of both grounds? I have never visited Madrid. What a fantastic building that Sagrada Familia is...
Now that is a place I would really love to see, the Sagrada Familia, I have visited Spain but my pal there lives near Calpe so I have never ventured as far north as Barcelona.
It is very much worth a visit. I know it is a church / Basílica / cathedral but if you were to visit one only ever, then arguably this would be the one. I do believe there is nothing to beat it, even though it is still unfinished after 100 or so years. I would go as far as to describe it as staggering. I had to look it up but Calpe seems to be a bit of a yomp from Barcelona. They have a good railway network in Spain, that I can see.
Yes Barcelona is somewhere that I've wanted to visit for some years now , but still not found the time . The Philippines seems to keep getting in the way .
Yes, architect Antoni Gaudi and his exceptional creativity That hill though… I remembered walking up the hill slash pavement going to Park Guell… but it was worth it There’s quite a lot more to see in Spain, I just couldn’t attach more than 10 pics here
Still unfinished, yet fascinating... I wasn't able to go to Calpe, I guess I missed out on their beautiful beaches
I couldn’t agree more… I even tried their first class high speed train from Barcelona to Madrid… spacious and has reclining seat. They also offer food services. It was a relaxing trip indeed.
Hopefully you can make some time… Well, Philippines has always been strangely compelling in its own unique ways… I’m already excited to go home for the summer break
Yeah, Maremagnum wasn’t that fancy, but I gotta commend the ambience… perhaps because of overseeing Port Vell... it’s good to simply sit down and unwind Park Guell offer locals and tourists a sense of art specific leisure… even the view from the hilltop was undeniably aesthetic
Muchas gracias señor You just reminded me of how I'm amazed with how much I understood Español... was literally able to comprehend most of their words... it only goes to show how we were under Spanish colonization for 300+ years Even my last name "Mendoza" hails from its own Spanish roots
It is no surprise that most Filipino families have Spanish family names, even the way that "Filipina" is feminine and "Filipino" is masculine, as is the Spanish gender importance. Adios para ahora mi amiga!
ms.quickwitted, if you get a chance, try to visit Montjuic in Barcelona. The views from the top are spectacular. https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attra...ews-Parc_de_Montjuic-Barcelona_Catalonia.html https://barcelonando.com/montjuic-olympic-ring
I was working in Barcelona as a young man but didn't get the time to visit Sagrada Familia or the Park Guell. They look amazing. As young men, our time off was spent in the bars in Las Ramblas. https://www.barcelona-tourist-guide.com/en/ramblas/barcelona-las-ramblas.html I visited many places in Spain but driving through Sevilla sticks in my mind as the buildings were amazing. It can get very hot in the summer though. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seville
I agree. About 15 years ago I went on holiday to a place in Spain called Antequerra. It is inland and it did indeed get very hot. We chose the place because of the lakes, proximity to Granada and the Al Hambra, proximity to Ronda. And because there was a nice villa with pool that we liked the look of. They spoke little English in that City. But yes very hot. I tend to like Spain as it is a short hop from the U.K. with young children, warmer than the U.K. but also with a lot to offer the tourist.
