On Roses visit visa application which was successful, most of documents were not returned, bank statements, property details, payslips,my proof of income These all need to be originals, it may be worth keeping certified copies( notarised i understand there is a copying service at the vfs, but its unclear is that so you can retain the copies, or so you can file the copies (documents)with application
Did you submit copies with it? They do keep the original documents if you didn't submit any copies with it. If you submitted copies they will return your original documents.
Hello guys i ask on this thread coz i cant figure out how to post my own thread. Im on spouse visa just arrive last month but husband is planning to go back to Philippines December and going back here in Uk beginning of April am I allowed to stay that long outside uk on spouse visa? Your answer would be very helpful and appreciated. Thank you for reading. Ann xx
I read that a total of 6 months for the whole spouse visa period is allowed when going outside the UK although I can't find the exact guidelines for it. It just says that you should make the UK your "permanent home". Short holidays like one or two months shouldn't be a problem. I wouldn't want to sound like prying but 4 months continuous stay in the Philippines might be a bit too much in one go. Is that just for a holiday?
hi @Brom27 I submitted photocopies of the original documents to Sheffield last 8th of August but until now they didnt return the original docs yet. When you submitted your docs how long does it take to get your orig documents back ? Thanks
Thanks Brom , very useful info, it seems the y were vague in vfs, offered copy service but were unclear on whether documents would be kept and not returned
Hello Emz when I applied last year all applications are still decided in Manila so documents are with them for the whole time I applied. I don't know how long they keep your documents in Sheffield now so hopefully someone who recently applied can answer
