My wife and I travelled back to the UK ( where I as a British citizen live) on Spouse visa just over two years ago. We hope shortly to be applying for her first extention in October and hope everything will work out well. However, I've joined this group because I'm most interested in the Filipino culture and wish to both find out more but also to offer help where needed. I'm a school teacher and entertainer ( mainly Stage Magic) but I love debate on all subject areas. Also just love Karaoke lol
Do you love politics as well? Then you will like it here. Welcome to the forum anyway. Whereabouts are you in the UK? We might be in the same neighbourhood lol. Hope you enjoy your stay here.
Welcome to the forum @Mandrake Stage Magic, very interesting. There are a wide range of topics covered here on the forum, I'm sure some will be of interest to you.
Stage magic - can you make some of the political topics disappear? We appreciate your input and offer of help. We also have a friendly bunch here @Mandrake.
Thank youforyour welcoming message. We live in Weston-super-Mare. It's a great seaside resort, in fact one of the best and growing in popularity. I love political debate and current affairs. What other interests/ hobbies do you have?
Thank you. Always keen to help. I look forward to getting to know members more during the next few weeks and getting constructively involved with some of the forum topics
Thanks. I've also been a Stage Hypnotist for30 years which some might suggest more interesting. Certainly it was always well received and I lovedperforming the shows. However, it was also very professional. What interests/ hobbies do you have?
Welcome to board Mandrake (man root!!) Usually catch the excellent Paul McKenna when he's in town. Great cold reader, hypnotist and debunker of fraudsters (a la The Amazing Randi). Many, many years ago a stage hypnotist named Robert Halpern used to appear in Edinburgh late on Friday evenings - the audience was invariably well-oiled and well up for some onion (apple) eating and hot seat shenanigans Not the most cerebral of events but very entertaining. I steadfastly refused to clasp my hands for fear of being selected for being in the show rather than watching what I'd paid to see! Gerry
Thanks Gerry. Glad you enjoyed the shows. I don't use the eating onions suggesting they're apples etc. since could cause problems with some individuals later. But just loved making people laugh. Keep smiling! Mandrake
