just get chatting online with one or a few. delete any that ask for money. avoid any that are married--theres no such thing as divorce in the philippines. eventually you will find someone who will make the trip worth while.
I know. I've had plenty of the "i need money for food for my baby" etc..etc.. messages. Put me right off. And again it's the flight I really hate flying. To the extent i have panic attacks and that's on short hops. But I guess I will need to overcome it to realise my dream.
same with me--hate flying. but you might well meet up online with someone prepared to apply for a standard visit visa--its cheap--and worth a try. but you really do need to build a long distance relationship first.
Yes Mark, I do think you will have to overcome the fear of flying to find a lovely Filipina. I met my future wife when I went scuba diving in the Philippines but many men met their wives on dating sites. You could be waiting a long time to meet a nice Filipina on this forum who lives in the UK. Filipina wives are truly wonderful. They are loving, caring and faithful. They value the family very highly and are adaptable when they travel overseas. The costs are very high to bring her finally to the UK but everyone on here who has a Filipina wife would do the same thing again.
MarkC76, I went to "Bookbinders" in the city a couple of times when I was single about ten years ago. I remember a couple of Filipinas went in there one night but they didn't stay very long. It looked as though they were getting hassled by too many single men. I know it is a pick-up joint so nothing unusual in that but pretty Filipinas are not unattached for long.
