Theresa May is now the overwhelming favourite to become the next Prime Minister, after her main rival Boris Johnson sensationally dropped out of the Tory leadership contest. http://www.standard.co.uk/news/poli...t-prime-minster-and-tory-leader-a3284971.html I have no political affiliations, however in my opinion this woman was behind one of the most despicable policies the home office ever passed.
i have long thought Theresa May would become leader of the tories--if not pm. the labour party have got to pull a huge rabbit out of the hat to offer any sort of challenge.
After seeing May being interviewed on TV I have changed my mind; Gove, Fox then Theresa May. She has got something going on with her mouth similar to Gordon Brown and it niggles me hence my revised preference
I have always thought Gove would be the next Tory leader. He seems like he wouldn't take any poo-poo from people and he seems like a bright spark, too.
I agree but there could be someone coming up through the ranks? Maybe Rob or Keith could enlighten us?
I'm hoping Hilary Benn will make a comeback, but right now, its a case of let the trainwreck run its course.
These must be the craziest days in UK politics though. Who would have guessed what was going to happen?
I wouldn't trust Gove to walk my dog! I'm in the May camp, give a women a budget she sticks to it, give her discipline to dish out she does it,give her her beliefs she sticks to them. No messing from Ms Merkel. Failing Mrs May getting it I would settle for Nicole Minetti.
Which policy was that ? She's too ugly for me to look at for more than a few seconds. Needs to start getting some proper nights' sleep. Imagine her, Clinton, and Merkel being in power. ... Be like the three ugly Sisters.
Just a guiess : The one where families are seperated and forced to be skype parents, or forced to sell there house and rent in order to have there Wife live with them , for some one who says the tories need to understand the pressures on ordinary people she is known as the wicked witch amongst the seperated daughter of a vicar or no
Having considered the limited choice available, and watched his little press conference today, I would now back Gove.
At least Gove is sticking to the promises he made in the referendum, whether he would keep them is another thing all together, he is a politician after all
