If I travel from Hong Kong to Tacloban on Philippines Airlines and change at Manila - what happens to the luggage in Manila?

I'm assuming I would need to show my passport in Manila before going to a domestic gate, but do I need to collect the luggage, go through customs in Manila and check the luggage back in? Or do I just go to the gate and pick up the luggage when I get to Tacloban?

We are going to Dubai for 3 weeks at Christmas. I can get her a visit visa online no problem but its always the Philippines immigration that is a difficulty.

Last time i was in here someone sent a link to EgovPH, which i just this minute looked at and downloaded the app.

I'm a bit confused as to just what i need to do with this thing.

It asks me to put my phone number in but it starts with a ++63 which is clearly Philipine code and i can't change that so not sure what to do.

I have registered using my email address but it still want my number for my profile page if you will.
