The United Kingdom made up of the British Isles of Great Britain and
Northern Ireland is exactly 21 miles from the Mainland coast of Europe.
It is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean to the West, the North Sea to
the east, and the English Channel to the South.

The United Kingdom is small in relative size but has one of the most
dense population centres in Western Europe, it has the worlds 4th
largest economy behind the U.S.A. Japan and Germany, London its
Capital City is one of the 3 world financial cities, the othes being
New York, and Hong Kong. It is the worlds highest investor in the
U.S.A. and is a member of the G7 group of the world richest nations.
It also has a seat on the United Nations Security Council and is

The United Kingdom enjoys hot summers, between 77F and 120F in the
summer months, from May to September,the wet season is from october
to February, while the Winter January to March is the coldest period
with temperatures around 7C to -5C
History: Many
groups of people are believed to have lived in Britannia as it was known
during Roman times, records show that tribes existed during the Bronze age,
but UK history really started around 1066 when William of Normandy landed
at Hastings and defeated King Harold of Wessex, and Royal History starts
from then, many of Englands marvellous castles were built by William the
Conqueror, including the Tower of London, the Present Queen Elizabeth, can
be traced back to William the 1st of England.
Scotland part of the United Kingdom was reconciled to England in an act of
Uniion in 1707 and the two Kingdoms were joined to form the United Kingdom
of Great Britain and Northern Island, the 4th province along with Wales
the third province.
Today the United Kingdom still has the same parliamentary system it had in
1650,and is a parliamentary democracy and is the oldest one in the world,
it has a constitutional Monarch, and a Prime Minister who is National Leader.
