No, not at all; I was trying to do it from a phone, and getting into a muddle. In fact I got the wrong picture. Here's the right one! Kulafu was a comic book character from the 1930s - a Filipino Tarzan.
Westmalle, one of my favourite beers, especially the Dubbel (dark). Westvleteren is even better, but very difficult to get hold of as the monks at SintSixtus strictly ration it. I once managed to get hold of a few bottles of it when I was visiting Antwerp, but that was many years ago.
I'm on the wagon for a week and all this temptation is getting to me, good job my full week is up. bring it on.
Leffe Ruby from Tesco. Here's an odd thing - the widest range of Belgian beer on sale that I have seen in one bar, anywhere, was in the bar of The Castle in Subic Bay. I think the owner is Belgian.
I am with the BBC at the moment. Got these three in for later tonight: Monserrate cerveza roja - Receta Britanica. Cajica cerveza rubia - Tipo Honey ale. Bacata cerveza blanca - Tipo Witbier
My son Alex just sailed from Barranquilla, at 13.17 UTC, in ballast, after discharging a cargo of reinforcing bars and wire coils, for Maracaibo, where I fancy they will load petroleum coke, due to berth in 11 hours time. Must ask him about the beer, as he runs the ship's bar, amongst the other duties that devolve upon the senior deck cadet... he had taken a lot of Leffe in New Orleans a couple of months back, which I thought showed that he has been brought up nicely...as he might have had Coors or Becks or some other rubbish...
