    Hi,

Just wondering if my pinay gf can apply for visa to live in the UK as my partner because we've been living together for two years now. Or do we have to be married or get a fiancé visa? (Online says, engaged, married or have been live together for 2 years)

Should be easy to prove we spent every day together many docs and pictures. We haven't spent 24 hours apart since we met.

So any thoughts on whether this is better than a marriage visa or any downside ? Just we can the get married when we want then and it's not rushed and we can save up a bit more for it.

If engaged...I’d say fiancé visa maybe the best route...marriage visa as far as I’m aware after marriage you only have so long together...then she goes back phili....not ideal

Not sure I understand you here buddy. Marriage visa and live in partner visa are forever as long as you move through the stages and can get citizenship after 5 years I believe.

i think you have answered your own questions. yes--she can apply--provided you meet the sponsorship financial requirement--and have a place to live.

Ollie marriage versus partnership, we live in a modern world where UKBA accept the variations in marriage and partner relationships
Really the choice which path to follow is yours! When looking at your application as partners are you able to demonstrate conclusively that you have been living as partner's over 2 years as per the link I sent above.
Spouse visa what's a bit of paper? We all know that marriages occur after in some instance the couple have met only a couple of times in an atmosphere akin to a holiday romance... bit they have a bit of paper saying they are married.
Go through the link above gather your information and then try and objectively look at and say " yes this meets the criteria and more to demonstrate a lasting and historical partnership"
Good Luck the choice is in the information

one other point--i think back when we applied--4 years ago nearly--i read that with a 2 year relationship they have to prove they were each free to marry if they chose to.

so that link is to a philippines based company offering advice--for a fee--to filipinos wanting a UK visa. its interesting to read in there that the ECOs operate in the British Embassy in the Philippines.

UK Visa applications filed in the Philippines are approved by the ECO or Entry Clearance Officers. They are the honorable men and women of the British Embassy stationed here in the Philippines, whose official duty is to decide the fate of your application for a UK visa.
