I understand that after just reading your other post ...may be difficult and not to sure position....is she a Filipino resident or from a different country? And also...how long have you been together ?
Best route is which most of us take is fiance visa route...which can take a while to gather all you need...

Hi thanks again for reply and understanding
She is born and bread Filipino I would rather marry in Philippines because of cost than bring her here I’m Gloucestershire based so going to London is as much fun as it is for someone from Davao to go to Manila
But if all good people say fiancée visa over a spouse visa so be it

The entire process is not particularly difficult so long as you cover everything correctly and most people manage without an immigration solicitor. Immigration solicitir is no guarantee of success.

Key things to be aware of is that there is not much opportunity to cut corners and save time and it will take a lot of time to do. It will also be very expensive and time consuming and using a solicitor will not save you a lot of time as you have to get evidence for them.

Key issues that have to be addressed and proven are:
    1. Proof of relationship. This is more than just a marriage certificate
    2. Proof of finances
    3. Proof of accomodation in UK.
    4. Proof of english language ability
    5. TB test.

I say proof as you have to gather specific information to meet all the requirements. English language and TB test have to be done at specific locations and providers.

There are two routes depending on where you want to get married:
    1. Fiance visa. Get six month visa to get married in UK then apply for visa to stay for an additional 2.5 years, then follow on visa for 2.5 years then apply for ILR status and then finally citizenship. Fiance visa will take about three months to get from point of application. Cost about 1.6k for visa, 1k for follow on visa and 1k for IHS after the six months, then 1k for next visa and 1k for IHS for follow on visa and then 2.2K for ILR. After that apply for citizenship Can't work while on fiance visa.

    2. Spouse visa. Get married overseas then apply for spouse visa which lasts 33 months. About three months to get spouse visa. Then after 33 months apply for additional 2.5 year visa then ILR then citizenship. Cost 1.6k for initial spouse visa and 1.2k for IHS. Other costs as above.

All routes have to be started when she is out of UK and normally require her passport to be retained while application is being considered.

Best to marry where you want to do it. Fiance visa is more the norm but lots of people do spouse route. Third option is marriage visit visa but only a few people would choose that route as it has s number of disadvantages although worked for us.

Depends on what your driving factors are and each route has pluses and minuses. If you want to be together as quickly as possible fiance visa is better option. If want to get married in philippines drawback is that will be separated for at least 4 months after marriage as need PSA marriage certificate which takes time and then three months for visa process.

If she comes on fiance visa then no NHS access apart from emergency treatment until post marriage visa granted and can't work until the same point. Spouse Visa has NHS access and ability to work from day of arrival.

Got the wifes settlement visa july 2018 so we are now thinking n a few months time we will need to start an application for FLR, so now all documents have to be scanned and put into pdf is that correct, does anyone suggest the best way to get the FLR in person or by post?, also what is the current NHS charge and added together with the visa fee how much is it, how much does it cost to go in person? are the requirement similar to the settlement proof of income housing marriage etc etc, we have had another child born here as well nearly one year old, these centres that do the scaninng any near Reading berks?

THE NHS is now £1000 per person you can only upload documents, in person is fast track so an extra £800 on top, you have to attend one of the UKVI centres to have biometric and passport scanning, for a price they will scan and upload documents.
I don't know now about COVID-19, what is happening as there are no appointments and I only see nurses get automatic extension, my wife needs the English language test but again everything closed, so sorry I cannot be more helpful.

thanks for the replies so no appointments currently suggests there will be a backlog once they open up, they will have to consider some applications not in the timeframe I guess, hard to say anything currently anyone know if the phillipine embassy is open, what are they going to do if visas run out and they are snowed under with applications?

I see the NHS surcharge goes up to £624 from Oct 1st a whopping £560 more how unfair is that , if this lockdown /Virus issue returns again with a second wave and more lockdowns how are the Immigration service going to deal with FLRs etc.
Any ideas how much it costs to get someone else to put all your documents on a pdf for a FLR application.

Immigration Health Surcharge Increased from £200 to £400 a year. UPDATE: The IHS fee will increase to £624 starting from October 2020. ... Immigration Health Surcharge or IHS is the UK's healthcare charge that non-EEA migrants need to pay to use the UK's National Health Service (NHS).That is £1560 now.
