    Bear in mind when travelling, it is a must to have your PCR test done apart from all your vaccines and booster proof before flying with any red listed countries.

    So when flying off the UK, give enough time to travel as you can have your PCR test done at the airport and it should be done within at least 3 hours to 72 hours. Also, upon arrival to whichever red listed countries you are going to, you would need to have your PCR test done again. Then same thing applies on your returns.

    My future daughter-in-law, recently encountered this when she came from South Africa last Christmas Eve at Manchester airport and back. So this is a must in all red listed countries.

    Admittedly, we had a panic at the last minute when she is returning last January 9, 2022 and the PCR test result arrived in her email at the last 30 minutes before her flight, luckily it’s negative! It was so stressful! :frust:

    I had warned them to leave plenty of time as I always do whenever I travel but they didn’t listened. :frust:
    Having driven from Leeds to Manchester airport with the long wait at the airport with lots of walking, then drive back to Leeds again. :blackeye: I was totally knackered :confused:

    My son said if he is travelling to South Africa he doesn’t have to do the PCR test because he is British, but he was wrong!

    So always ensure when you are travelling wherever it is, give plenty of time as with this pandemic problems, there are too many requirements nowadays when you’re travelling, you’ll never know what else you would need to do in the last minute. Save yourself the worries at the last minute as it is really stressful! :cry:.

    I myself won’t be travelling until 2025! :lol::lol::lol:

    I might be going to Canada and California within a few weeks, just going to get the PCR done at Heathrow, its convenient,we nearly got caught out in December coming back from Canada as when we went in November the UK didn't require a PCR, coming back in December the rules had changed.

    The thing is, South Africa went on and off the red lists, the time she is planning to come over. When she arrived here, she went to a PCR testing centre in Leeds, then isolate for until they emailed her the results which took a couple of days. PCR test cost £80.00 at the airport and £40.00 in Leeds testing centre. So the price doubled if you do it at the airport.

    Yes, but I live close enough to the airport, there's a few places there offer quick PCR so it's just more convenient :like:
