Of course he will but what will he do, will he stay in the Philippines or will he return to the UK ?, my guess is that he will stay in the Philippines.

£2000 is borderline to get someone who is supposedly sick out of the jungle and back to the UK.

One way flights are nearly as expensive as return flights although flights departing the Philippines are likely to be a bit cheaper, without a laptop and the means to communicate easily or the means to pay online, then he's likely to need to go to an airport and purchase a ticket likely at the highest price, if he has a laptop and comms then he's not that poor in the first place.

The trip to the airport is going to cost, will he go back to the jungle after that trip to wait for his departure or is he going to go to a hotel, ultra cheap hotels are 1000 peso a night like a SOGO or a dorm, dorms might be cheaper.

With £2000 he's going to be hard pressed to successfully exit the country and if he has in fact overstayed his visa he will be arrested at the airport and sent to Bictuan or wherever they send them these days unless he can pay the accumulated immigration fees.

A lot of things don't make a huge amount of sense here.

edit: Or is the gambit pay the immigration fees and get the Philippines to deport him, I don't honestly know what the immigraton fees and fines would add up to these days so I am just guessing but that gambit will be very painful in detention.

Extracted from his funding page 15.03.25 I think in response to trolls about his situation being real

I came to the Philippines back in 2018 and have endured typhoon, earthquakes and being stabbed, along with Police corruption and dodgy Filipino custom officers.

And though I was e extremely careful and diligent, I ended up in two disastrous relationships, one after the other.

I've been lied to, emotionally blackmailed and tricked. And the final straw was when I fell and badly damaged my leg that the got infected, I ended up having two operations and I then spent six weeks in hospital.

As well as the last year recovering, being bedridden and having to rely on the charity of others. The mother of my then gir lfriend was a true wonder and put so much effort into trying tu get me well again.

They were a very poor Filipino family who spoke little English and did not believe in western medicine (except for antibiotics). Instead believing on the power of herbalism, the Church and the supernatural. I felt though well intended, it did not really work, and therefore my recovery was a slow and painful one.

I am now learning to walk again. All this has left me demoralized and broke because of all the medical bills.

I had to move to the countryside and now live in a jungle settlement in order to save money and I have to rely upon charity of others to have somewhere to live and have something to eat.

My foot has got re-infected yet again and I can no longer afford the basics like my diabetes medicine or antibiotics. I reached out to the British embassy for help, but they said they cannot help me financially or with medication.

All they can do is rather pathetically contact the Filipino authorities and asks for me to put in a homeless shelter. Which will then mean they tell me, I'll be in there for two to three months before the British Embassy will lend me the money to get a ticket back home to the UK.

And they w ill require me to fill in numerous pieces of paperwork and deliver them to various departments before I can eventually leave the country as my passport is out of date and I was tricked into overstaying in this country.

I can barely walk or hold a pen at the moment, let alone hand deliver documents to various departments!!!!!

In the meantime, I have to fend and feed myself. The Filipino local authorities say they do not have any ability to house me in a homeless shelter at the moment as they're already overcrowded, and they will look and see if any other districts can offer me a place?

Meanwhile, I'm about to get kicked out of my humble dwelling that I live in. and I will end up literally living in the jungle. My foot is now septic and it is not long before I get gangrene. I have lived with the shadow of the possibility of losing my leg for the last 18 months and it is getting too much and look like I will finally have it happen.

So as you can imagine, I am at my lowest point possible. I lost nearly all my possessions, any friends I might have here, have turned their back on me. I've even tried to get the local police to arrest me and get me into a detention centre, but they said they are not interested, as they feel I'm the problem of the British embassy and therefore they will not get involved.

Even if you can't help me in the smallest way, please add me to your prayers. I think I'm about to have my darkest chapter of my life.

There seems to be minor changes in this script to that posted by the Daily Mail

Suspect he's got a friend helping already - I didn't clock what his overstay period was ... but that could eat a large chunk of it if he's going home legally... seems to still have his lap top although his wifi is running out... nearly depleted funds .... hmmm I suspect he's looking for help to pay his visa fines and then he'll catch a flight out.

I really detest people that move to the Philippines or anywhere else in the world, wearing rose tinted glasses and a head full of perceived romanticism, without care or consideration for any pitfalls that they may encounter in their travels. My wife is like mother hen, she shelters me from whatever situation when we travel, and if we go out, we are surrounded by a gaggle of sisters, nieces, nephews and partridges on pear trees for protection...

I read all that from the funding page the other day not sure what if anything has changed.

"My foot has got re-infected yet again and I can no longer afford the basics like my diabetes medicine or antibiotics" this was there the other day, part of where my skeptisism came from, untreated type 1 and he could be dead in a few hours, untreated type 2 and that might explain in part why he's got other problems, however if it's that bad why is he learning to walk again that suggests things are getting better which isn't going to be the case with a type 2 diabetic unless he's eating a high protein diet with little to no carbs and that's not the diet you are going to get with little to no money.

"foot septic" "gangrene" really? If this is true even the first one he should be dead in days from septicemia, septic shock, and how long will he last with gangrene, in any con game you pour on the desperation does it make sense, no.

Maybe I'm a troll but I'm not posting anywhere on his pages or appeals.

Just another conman, and an embarrassment to himself and his country.

Reading his nonsense once was enough.
