Hi John, all documents sent to Sheffield on Thursday, arrived in Sheffield friday, and signed for by Cooper. Thursday evening my P60 arrived which would have been helpful had it arrived a few hours earlier :D.
Anyways they now have my original Decree absolute plus a copy, they have a letter from the DWP stating when & how much i receive in pension, plus another very recent DWP letter advising of the pension increase, they have another letter from my employer, plus several additional documents provided for me by my employer showing his various customers including his accountants invoice, and they have a statement from my Pension Co, stating how long my SIPP has been held, and proving that my Investments have been held in cash since last July 2018, this is in addition to the new Bank statements, original IELTS Cert, TB Cert, and all the other requirements that were submitted including exerpts from our recent chats.. thank you for your help with all of this John, a second pair of eyes is a big help in what has been a very stressful time.
I cant really stress ;) how much this has been on my mind over the past few weeks, Making an entirely new application and all that entails, especially with getting the evidence that they require in the time left whilst my wife,s TB Certificate is still in date, its not only getting the evidence, but booking the appointment at VFS in Cebu, booking flight tickets to and from Cebu, arranging Hotels, etc etc.
Getting visa refusals Is really not an experience that i would wish on anyone, but for genuine applicants its so much more than just a refusal, I guess im fortunate in that Iv been doing 2 jobs which has helped me to pay for this second application, but im sure that there are others out there that have been unable to re-apply because of the costs involved.
I decided against appealing the refusal decision, because at the end of the day i did not put in a letter from the DWP, so to wait for an appeal decision which can take anything up to 10 months to be heard, and then the decision is not overturned its just sent back to the ECO to take another look at.. thats 10 months plus an unknown wait which could lead to the Visa being refused again by the ECO, Im not prepared to wait another year only to be told that I have to apply again..

Good afternoon- apologies if posting in wrong place but with regards to housing requirement. I'm applying for Visa for my wife and step daughter and it looks like initially we will have to live with my parents, until we find a suitable to live in. If living my parents, what should I submit? Housing report? And letter of invitation from my parents? I have read elsewhere and it is advises submitting housing deeds?

    Thanks

@David99 this are the documents that I prepare for my app:
    1. Letter from the owner of the property stating that they allow you and your dependants to live/stay
    2. Land registry title (you can dowload with fee)
    3. Property inspection Report(surveyor will visit the property)
Basically this are the docs that Im gonna use plus passport details of the person(s) living in the property.
Some members can add some input on this.

I'm still in the process of getting wife's visa sorted, but like David99 we will be living at "home" with my mother once my wife gets here. I'm also adding mums Council tax bill and a utility bill for good measure.

Hello, I’m going to start collecting all the documents I will need for my 2nd FLR M application. Is it the same requirement as the 1st FLR M but updated? Also, how much is the IHS Surcharge?

more proofs of address with both your names on it.

IHS went up to £1000 earlier this year. ouch.

Ouch that’s a big addition. The FLR M costs £1033, is that right? Sorry I’m just making sure that I’ll have the right money before I apply

yeah--the IHS doubled. outrageous when you think about it. my wife works long hours and pays a lot of NI contributions. but--hey ho--nothing we can do about it--just got to suck it up and smile.

the flr fee is £1033---at the moment.

    Seriously? That's disgusting :(

The silent method of getting the immigration numbers down by pricing out loved ones. /rant.

Alas, I suppose that also explains the large cost increase (I believe?) in the ILR however, as this does not include the IHS I think.

Hello all, A little confused when reading the lines on pages "all documents sent to Sheffield", when people are applying for a spouse visa. When people are typing this do they mean in a light-hearted way that the wife has did all the work in Manila/Cebu at the visa office and the completed Visa is on its way to Sheffield or that you can actually post items to Sheffield while your in the UK. e.g. bank statements. letter from landlord. Kumastaaaaaaaaaa poo kayyyooooooooo.

    Good morning all

Just started completing the online application for my wife's settlement Visa and have a few questions. Any advice much appreciated

Question: How long do you intend to stay in the Uk? I assume i just write 'settlement' here

Question: Are you travelling with anyone? I will also be applying for a child dependent visa for my step daughter. I assume I should put my step daugther's information here? If so, what should I select for does she have the required visa? She doesn't yet

Hi, as you can see from my previous post I am about to submit my documents and my son’s which equate to about 500 pages, some of the pages are double sided (have information on both sides) do you know if this will be picked up from the scanner when the documents are scanned?

Pretty sure "Duplex Scanning " (Double sided A4 Scanning) will depend on the Printer/Scanner itself, it may just be in the settings to enable. Otherwise you'll need to scan it & flip it over on a Simplex (Single Sided) Scanner.

Please can anyone give me quick advice how to upload supporting docs on the web. I have done the application form online at visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/ and paid the money (ripped off - Worldpay charged in dollars which added about £90 to the cost in their poor exchange rate both ways). but where do I upload the docs. I am in the UK and my wife and daughter stuck in Cebu. Also, how do I book bio processing in Cebu instead of travelling to Manila?
