So I'm hanging up the washing this morning (as I often do...) And I put the trainer bra (that my wife likes to buy for my daughter) on a hanger and thought to myself "it's a bit damp today I should really try and straighten out the foam pads so it dries properly...", for the uninitiated I'm talking about these things: The trouble with them is, after it's been spun in the machine the foam inserts end up all over the place - often you'll get two in the same place which forces you to take one out and reposition them both so as the item dries properly... Suppose if I was Filipino I'd "just leave that..." but being English and having been brainwashed from an early age to try and do the job as best I can, I sorted it out. Probably took 2 minutes but felt like 5. Definitely a candidate for Room 101.
My wife already hand washes the kids uniforms... despite my advice to put them in the machine on a gentle cycle
Ana's sister in spite of me telling her not to wash anything and to only use the washing machine will often be found hand washing loads of stuff including my t-shirts shorts and jeans, this inevitably means that bleach gets mixed into my clothes (although thankfully never on the jeans), I've had countless (cheap) t-shirts ruined and several expensive M&S shorts ruined by bleach contamination, if I ever manage to move there full time I'll be living in a different home where her sister will not be welcome other than for short visits. I bought a good quality LG automatic washing machine to make everyone's life easier and there's always someone on their knees scubbing clothes, I can tell when they've done it as well as they don't end up properly clean. Drives me nuts!
You have my sympathy Was exactly what happened to my nice stuff when I first arrived here... wasn't long before her elder sister had scrubbed most of them to death... everything get's washed as if they were denim. I tested your suggestion this morning - the foams remained in the right right/left location - twisted but definitely not shaken about as much as they were previously
Manufacturers recommend taking the foam pads out before washing and hand wash the pads and leave to dry flat
Hmmm... I may have found a solution Instead of faffing around with the pads myself, I put them and the bralette on my daughter's bed for her to re-assemble ... not seen the pads since
