you can still combine income from rent with savings...heres an example.

net rent income ( after overheads ) say--8,600 pounds

so--its 18,600 income requirement
less rents 8600
leaves 10,000
times 2.5= 25,000
plus 16,000 ignored threshold
equals 31,000 savings required

so--you see even a low income dramatically reduces the savings needed.

Hi Bigmac,,,,hehe my laptop aint got one either. Looked at that too if need be that would be an option,but still wanna sell up here. 6% capital gains tax to be paid here in Philippines too,,,,nasty.
