Lots of glossy press at the moment on resorts in both these areas, it's got me thinking for spring 26,.
    Which is better,safer more fun?
Would it be an arduous journey to do both?

    Guimaras Island and also Bohol.

Palawan and Cebu are both crowded now.

Guimaras and Bohol also have nice beaches but with less people.

I don't like Cebu but that's a shame that Palawan is crowded too.

Ana's father was born in Bohol I wuold like to visit one day, her mum is still with us and sitting 4 metres from me right now she is from Samar Leyte and I would like to see that area too one day.

The only problem for me with Bohol is that a certain banned member has his resort on the north west corner of the island, by all reports he is a nice enough person in real life but a troll on the internet.

Started looking at Bohol, first stab Pangalo looks enticing, its a time off yet probably March 2026, and will look at Guimarus also.

Bohol is classed as safe by UK Gov which is good for travel insurance

I had my honeymoon in Panglao.
We stayed at Golden Palm Beach Resort - a private resort just walking distance to Panglao Beach.

But there are also several other resorts and hotels/motels in the island depending on your preference.

Food there was quite cheap, about half the price of that in Manila.
I was dining out every day and only spent like less than £20 for me and my wife.

And we were eating something akin to dining out here in the UK but for the price of one.

It's easy to get around as well as you can just hail for a tuktuk/tricycle which can take you around anywhere in the island for set prices.
You can go to Chocolate Hills, Firefly Cave, ride a quad bike, etc.

I enjoyed it more than Boracay or Palawan to be honest.

The one I'm talking about is on the smaller island Panglao, north west of Panglao.

In your attempt to take the proverbially p***, you've got it wrong.
The Tarsier primate pictured and referred to is not a monkey, it is like a monkey a primate however. While both are primates, tarsiers belong to the suborder Haplorrhini, infraorder Tarsiiformes, whereas monkeys are part of the suborder Haplorrhini, infraorder Simiiformes. Tarsiers are more closely related to monkeys, apes, and humans than they are to lemurs and lorises.:welcome:
